Order of service words

I've got a word doc with the order of service as now approved by Brian - vicar of St Aidan's. It's 7 pages at the moment as I've put the hymms, readings and prayers in it. Perhaps best to email it to you? I'll do that.

Arnold's invite making in progress

Table names inspiration

I saw these... love the design.

What do you think about the London street names/places idea in this format?

POssible?

Remaining items

Hello lady

Just listing the remaining things I can think we need to do:
A. Table names (x12 A5)
B. Seating plan (x12 A4)
C. Menu (x36 = approx 3 per table - was thinking these could go on a lollipop stick - check this out as inspiration
http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/madewithlovecardboutique/product/lollipop-party-birthday-invitations)
D. Order of service (x120)
E. Who's who (x36 approx = 3 per table)

Chris and I need to agree the words for these things but does all this sound ok?

I was thinking of the fish forks and perhaps we just provide them at the end unprinted. I was going to get some woven labels to use - and was thinking i could get the wording to say thanks for coming on then could stick these on the back of the name place cards (which Vicki is writing).

Time is rolling on too quick. I need to pull a sickie - not enough time!!!

Evening do wording

Morning!

How's this...sticking to our design with a few crucial words changed!

Mr & Mrs Derek Arnold

Miss Georgina Hunter Arnold to
Mr Christopher John Chatfield
at Bamburgh Castle, Bamburgh, Northumberland

(please let us know of any dietary requirements or allergies you may have)

Also - I have had another thought. Could we do some signage for the evening do? Something to signpost people round the back of the castle rather than in it. would need two i think. do you have access to a laminator? don't think i do at the moment work wise.

thank you, thank you, thank you xxx

Almost forgot

Here's the Where to Stay to sign off too - (i've printed some of these already, but not enough to fix a mistake and reprint, if there is any)

Maps and stupidity...

Hello!! So sorry - i forgot to post this up - what do you think?? I'm having real bother printing them as i went out to buy a new ink cartridge after work only to buy the wrong one (GRRR. bought black instead of colour - am cross with myself). So i'm afraid they'll not be ready to send tomorrow - but i supose this is good as you need to proof the map before i print off 130 of them! RE Chris sending directions - are you wanting another insert?

Evening do-ers...

We're inviting 32 to the evening do - will have a chat with you tomorrow about that. Doesn't matter if they go out after the day-do ones.

Looking amazing!

Particularly liking the action shot! Hope it is all going swimmingly your end doing the printing.

How did you get on with the map bit? I'll ask Chris to send through the directions tomorrow morning.

Questions...

Hi Chaps! I need to know a few things before I start printing properly tomorrow. They're tiny but they do make a difference to the end result.

1) The impact of the letter press - do you want it very noticable ie so that you can see the imprint on the reverse (to the point it shows - see image 2 - this is effect is done using a blanket rather than a metal plate) We can get a really clean punch on the front without doing it but I wanted to check if you wanted it so embossed that you felt it on the back. Lee thinks it looks more 'professional' when you can't see it but Craig and Jonathon think it looks more 'special/hand pressed' if you can see it. I think it's makes it more tactile and I like it but then again i like both. They both are as 'letter pressed' on the front.

2) Colour - we printed it with a nice warm black onto white paper and an off white (creamy colour - my preference) I know we said brown but this may complicate the print colour for the additional pages (which i'm printing from my ink jet) I'm afraid we'll not quite match the browns up, which i think will look funny. It'll be much easier to print in the soft black - which when printed on the cream gives a sepia style effect - not sure if you can see this in the photo. So questions here are... brown or black ink? Cleam or white paper? (the cream paper's a bit stiffer to which works well with the letter press, and it's really nice)

3) Also wanted to check that edition was 130 (hehe we could edition each one if you wanted!)

I think that's all - but if you could let me know asap that'd be grand.

Invitations...

Hi Folks! Hope this finds you both well. I'm just tying things up as I'm finally booked in to print with Lee next Saturday and Sunday (after my wee mess up with ordering a positive instead of a negative, which has delayed printing by a week). So, for the additional pieces to go in with the invitation here's what I have done - did we say we needed anything else (can't remember whether the map was a go-er or not- if so, i'll crack on with it as i'd like to have everything finished before next Tuesday). Can you let me know which of the Where To Stays you'd prefer? And if there's anything else I said I'd do. Much love xx

Words are all I have...

Hello lovely Lara

Absolutely loving the invitation! Thanks so much. Agree that more detail in the invite would look good. I'm not worried about overcrowding it, I think if there are lots of different things going on in the design it adds to the overall narrative and intrigue. more the merrier in fact! loving the tree, could be push the castle to the left and put another one on the right hand side? Add in some flowers on the left hand side? flowers are good. add in a boat/canoe/surfboard on the sea?

Would it be possible to make the edging border the same size as the edging on the heart?

On the wording front (you'd not believe how blooming contentious this has been!) we have the following:

could you mock up a centred version and also a justified one - I tried doing this in word but couldn't get the desired effect to show you. I like the idea of the text making a square. wondered what that would look like.

was thinking about it how it will come together - if there was a fold in the card with the design on the front and then the wording 'inside'. also like using a ribbon though though because the design is quite intricate perhaps a ribbon might be over the top. need to decide on colour still...

No text please, we're British

Hullo folks, I need the text to finish off the invite. Can you send through the exact text you want? this is a bit what it looks like now - any comment suggestions please? Not sure about a few things, think it needs more detail but also don't want to over do it and also need to fic some of the waves as they've gotten a mis-shapen x

progress...

Hi Folks, love all the lists. Am working on a drawing which will lend itself well to including most of these things. Die cutting is still definitely an option and have found a few suppliers who will cut bespoke plates - just need to get some prices from them .

some good ideas on here http://tutorialblog.org/creative-custom-die-cuts-on-business-cards/

thought i'd list some of the peeps i need to contact below so i have them all in one place. there was this really great company who did exactly what we're looking for - Go Kreate, but i think they've closed down as i can't find them anywhere and their website is redundant. Will keep ing looking though as price could still be an issue (or not!) anyway i found them on a forum http://www.craftsforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6578 so will keep searching. xx

NOTE: If i did these again I'd do them individually and not try to cram them into a 3 hour printing slot!

Also - here's the Rob Ryan one you were talking about...
http://rob-ryan.blogspot.com/

I spoke to Tara at work who's friend had that lazer cut invite I showed you - and turns out she had to borrow lots of favours to get it done as it was pricey. Like you said.

How does the cut out block option work out? Would we able to tie in a couple of different items, like order of service, thank yous?
